This one-hour virtual meeting of Q&A with Dr. Daniel Vincent, MD. Dr. Vincent has specialized training and many years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of voice and swallowing disorders. Some of his particular interests are microsurgery of the voice, treatment of vocal cord paralysis and laryngeal papilloma, and treatment of spasmodic dysphonia. You can take advantage of this golden opportunity to get answers to your questions about Spasmodic Dysphonia, Botox, and any other voice disorders.
ABOUT Dr. Vinent, MD | Dr. Daniel Vincent Jr. is an otolaryngology (ear, nose & throat) specialist in Tampa, FL. Dr. Vincent Jr. studied at University of South Florida / College Of Medicine. They currently practice at Millennium Physician Group – Port Charlotte Multi-Specialty and are affiliated with St. Joseph’s Hospital and Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Dr. Vincent Jr is board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and accepts multiple insurance plans.

About Adam Rubin, MD
With a lifelong passion for the human voice, Adam D. Rubin, MD is a board-certified laryngologist and voice specialist practicing at Lakeshore Ear, Nose & Throat Center in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. He helps patients, including professional, student, and amateur singers and actors from the metropolitan Detroit area to protect, preserve, and heal their voices. Dr. Rubin is also the director of the Lakeshore Professional Voice Center operated by Lakeshore ENT.

About Juliana Codino, PhD, CCC-SLP
Juliana Codino, PhD, CCC-SLP is the Director of Voice Pathology and supervisor of the SLP voice-centric Clinical Fellowship at Lakeshore Professional Voice Center (LPVC). At LPVC she has the pleasure to be able to take care for high-end performers, as well as the every-day voice user treating all voice, swallowing and airway disorders. Juliana has a strong interest in research, at LPVC she continues to be fairly prolific in voice studies. Juliana completed her PhD focusing on electroglottography at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Juliana has a particular interest in acoustics of voice production and has been teaching acoustical analysis of voice and phonetics for many years.

All are invited to join us for what promises to be a very informative meeting. This is not an SD-specific group and we invite individuals with ALL forms of dystonia to join us!
The topic is CLINICAL TRIALS FOR DYSTONIA.
Our guest presenter is DAVID PETERSON, Ph.D. Dr. Peterson is an Associate Research Scientist at the Institute for Neural Computation at UCSD and the Computational Neurobiology Laboratory at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Dr. Peterson received a Ph.D. in Computer Science, with an emphasis on Neuroscience, from Colorado State University. He has Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration from the University of Colorado, Boulder. The primary focus of his research is adult-onset focal dystonias. He is the Principal Investigator for research projects funded by the DoD’s Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program and the National Institutes of Health and is on the Medical & Scientific Advisory Council for the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation. He leverages advances in computational neuroscience to develop improved assessments for clinical trials and models of how the brain networks are altered in order to help identify future treatment strategies.
