Please join the Los Angeles Area Spasmodic Dysphonia Support Group virtual meeting being held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 5:00 PM PST.

Tanya K. Meyer, M.D.,
will be discussing the topic : “The Voices of SD – at home and at work”. Dr. Meyer is also the lead author of a new study reporting that BoNT treatment significantly improves patients’ ability to be productive in the workplace. The paper was published this month in JAMA-Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and can be found HERE.

Dr. Meyer trained at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and completed a Neurolaryngology fellowship at the New York Center for Voice and Swallowing Disorders with Dr. Andrew Blitzer. Her practice focuses on neuro-laryngology and disorders of the voice, airway and swallowing mechanism. Her clinical research interests revolve around outcomes in neurolaryngologic disorders and the improvement of communicative participation – specifically how voice disorders affect an individual’s ability to engage productively in society and maintain gainful employment.

We are excited for this discussion and we hope you are, too!
