Tanya K. Meyer, M.D., will be discussing the topic : “The Voices of SD – at home and at work”. Dr. Meyer is also the lead author of a new study reporting that BoNT treatment significantly improves patients’ ability to be productive in the workplace. The paper was published this month in JAMA-Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and can be found HERE. Dr. Meyer trained at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and completed a Neurolaryngology fellowship at the New York Center for Voice and Swallowing Disorders with Dr. Andrew Blitzer. Her practice focuses on neuro-laryngology and disorders of the voice, airway and swallowing mechanism. Her clinical research interests revolve around outcomes in neurolaryngologic disorders and the improvement of communicative participation – specifically how voice disorders affect an individual’s ability to engage productively in society and maintain gainful employment.

“We don’t yet see things clearly. We are squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing Him directly just as He knows us!”
