The North Carolina Dysphonia Support Groups invite you to join us for our virtual gathering on Saturday, January 14, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM EST.
Topic: “New Year’s Resolutions for the Faint of Voice: Living with Spasmodic Dysphonia Ain’t for Sissies!”.
What is it about New Years and our calendars changing to January 1 that makes us think of making new resolutions to improve our lives?
During this virtual support group meeting, we’ll ask you to discuss and share your ideas about making resolutions. Then you’ll be able to consider making some new resolutions in four areas of your life that might help you cope better with your dysphonia and live your life with greater ease and more enjoyment. Please click on and read this outline to help you begin.
We hope to have a lively, engaging discussion with participants as we continue to share the realization that living with SD takes courage and determination!
Special thanks to the Lehigh Valley Spasmodic Dysphonia Association for sharing this topic discussion.
Rebecca Cole-Turner will serve as facilitator along with Mary Bifaro, her co-leader of this support group.
We hope to see you again in the New Year!
Since this meeting is virtual, all are welcome to attend no matter your location!

IN MEMORY
Daniel Lee Bray
ALIVE FOREVER MOREAugust 24, 1984 – December 20, 2020 (36 years old)
Daniel was a son, brother, animal lover, artist, animator, poet, rapper, musician and extraordinary soul who was filled with extraordinary faith while conquering enormous challenges after being diagnosed with Spasmodic Dysphonia at 19 years old. His story is a story of triumph, victory, courage and understanding. Daniel left many life lessons and through his experience on earth he will continue to touch lives inspiring us all to be more aware and to build more awareness of what brought him home. Daniel is a warrior and his inspiration that has been collected by his family will be used to bring hope and to change the world!
“We don’t yet see things clearly. We are squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing Him directly just as He knows us!”
