Event Details
Please join us for a virtual meeting on Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM CST.
Please join our Alabama Dysphonia International reinvigorated Support Group as we raise a virtual “Happy New Year” toast on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 5:00-6:00 p.m.
With the new year comes endless possibilities: new research on voice disorders, better understanding and resources, and, best of all, virtual opportunities to be a part of our Dysphonia International connected community. Unique perspectives from our national and international community remind us that “we’re all in this together”!
Individuals with all forms of Dystonia as well as family and friends are welcome. We are not doing a structured program, but offering a time to build community and develop a support network of people dealing with spasmodic dysphonia, tremor, and any other voice disorder that impacts their daily lives. This will be a chance to get to know each other, share information, and participate in a short session of mindfulness, led by a trained mindfulness instructor.
Participation in discussion is completely voluntary as you may prefer to listen only, and you can choose not to show your image or name. This is a safe and comfortable space where sharing our stories and problem solving together will give each of us support.
You can join us on your computer, laptop, iPad, or tablet. For the Zoom login information and to RSVP, please email Judy Rodwell at alabamadysphoniainternational@gmail.com or heyjude73@gmail.com.
Hosted by Alabama Support Group Leader Judy Rodwell.

Daniel Lee Bray
ALIVE FOREVER MOREAugust 24, 1984 – December 20, 2020 (36 years old)
Daniel was a son, brother, animal lover, artist, animator, poet, rapper, musician and extraordinary soul who was filled with extraordinary faith while conquering enormous challenges after being diagnosed with Spasmodic Dysphonia at 19 years old. His story is a story of triumph, victory, courage and understanding. Daniel left many life lessons and through his experience on earth he will continue to touch lives inspiring us all to be more aware and to build more awareness of what brought him home. Daniel is a warrior and his inspiration that has been collected by his family will be used to bring hope and to change the world!
“We don’t yet see things clearly. We are squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing Him directly just as He knows us!”
