Please join us for our last virtual meeting of 2020 on Sat., 11/14 for a very uplifting and inspiring presentation on “How to Age Well” by Joaquin Anguera, PhD.
Dr. Anguera was with us before and he was a real delight. Dr. Anguera has a PhD in Human Behavior from Alliant International University in San Diego with a specialization in Gerontology. He was a gerontology professor at San Diego State University for 21 years before retiring in 2017. For the last 4 years he has served as a governor-appointed member of the California Commission on Aging. He worked for 30 years in various positions at Aging and Independence Services, a County Department, until he retired as a Deputy Director. He has given lectures at various national and international conferences. His main message centers around the possibilities of the human person, how we need to fight against the negative views about old age prevalent in our society and he always highlights the opportunities for growth in every stage of life, particularly in old age.
We will also be celebrating our group’s 33-year anniversary!

“We don’t yet see things clearly. We are squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing Him directly just as He knows us!”
