The LSU Health Academic Medical Center will be hosting a Walk for Talk to raise funds for research to find a cure for spasmodic dysphonia and other related voice conditions.
This event will take place on Saturday, October 7, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the R.W. Norton Art Gallery Botanical Gardens in Shreveport, LA. We’ll walk four laps around the botanic garden. Pets welcome.
There is no cost to attend, and all ages are welcome to participate. So invite your family, friends, co-workers, healthcare professionals, and even your pets, to be part of the Walk. We hope you will join us this year to use our feet to help us beat spasmodic dysphonia and other voice conditions.

Daniel Lee Bray
ALIVE FOREVER MOREAugust 24, 1984 – December 20, 2020 (36 years old)
Daniel was a son, brother, animal lover, artist, animator, poet, rapper, musician and extraordinary soul who was filled with extraordinary faith while conquering enormous challenges after being diagnosed with Spasmodic Dysphonia at 19 years old. His story is a story of triumph, victory, courage and understanding. Daniel left many life lessons and through his experience on earth he will continue to touch lives inspiring us all to be more aware and to build more awareness of what brought him home. Daniel is a warrior and his inspiration that has been collected by his family will be used to bring hope and to change the world!
