We will meet by the basketball courts. There is ample parking and restrooms available at the park. The Greenway is a combination wood and cement walkway. We will go as far as you want! Masks are encouraged but not required. Please RSVP to Sue or Laura by October 1. We will have a rain day scheduled for Sunday, October 10th just in case. Sue or Laura will communicate if plans change.

What is the 2nd Annual Walk for Talk?
The 2nd Walk for Talk is a five-day event to benefit the National Spasmodic Dysphonia Association. The goal is to bring together the NSDA community both increase awareness of voice conditions and raise money to help us fund vital research to defeat spasmodic dysphonia and related voice conditions. Last year, most events were held virtually yet the NSDA community came together with camaraderie, mentoring, visibility, unity, empowerment, encouragement, and strength. This year, some of us are meeting in-person, but no matter where you live, you can be part of this event

Can I still participate even if I can’t make the in-person event?
Yes! Even if you can’t join us for the in-person walk, you can still participate during the five-day event. There is no cost and you can register online. Then it is your choice how to support our voice. You can walk, run, bike, swim, or however you would like to “use your feet to help us defeat spasmodic dysphonia and related voice conditions.”

Why Walk for Talk?
Since 1989, NSDA has been dedicated to improving the lives of people with spasmodic dysphonia and related voice conditions through research, education, awareness, and support. The NSDA knows about the challenges those of us with voice disorders are facing. It is a community that cares about you and your voice!
