If you are living with a voice disorder, you are not alone on this journey. Join us to learn more about spasmodic dysphonia and related voice conditions including muscle tension dysphonia, vocal tremor, and vocal cord paralysis/paresis. There is no cost to attend and refreshments will be served. Family and friends are invited. Discover a community that cares about you and your voice!
This support group has been provider-led since its start in 2017. Greenville ENT and Dysphonia International prefer that support groups be led by patients for a host of reasons. A patient with personal experience of a chronic voice disorder is the ideal leader due to their innate ability to relate to other members of the group on a more personal level, and to choose meeting topics that feel most relevant to the group’s needs. We feel that a passionate patient leader will also be highly successful in growing the group and its reach. Our goal is to “pass the baton” to a patient leader by the close of 2024. If this sounds exciting, but intimidating, never fear! Dysphonia International will provide you with training and resources to help easily maintain the group, and will walk alongside you every step of the way. If you are interested in taking on the role of group leader, please contact Emily directly.

“We don’t yet see things clearly. We are squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing Him directly just as He knows us!”
