Join us for our 5th Annual Walk for Talk Event hosted by Dysphonia International and organized by the Silicon Valley Dysphonia Support Group on Sunday, October 6, 2024, from 2:30-4:00 AM in Redwood City, CA.

Please join us for the 5th Annual Walk for Talk event sponsored by Dysphonia International. We will bring together the community of those with voice conditions, their loved ones, and medical experts to walk while raising awareness and funding to support vital research to eradicate SD and related voice conditions.

It’s a great opportunity to meet and share experiences with others in the voice community. We may be joined by medical experts from the UCSF Voice and Swallowing Center where some of us receive voice therapy and botox treatments, and from the Biomagnetic Imaging Lab where research is being conducted to better understand and treat dystonia.

We will begin with introductions and then walk for 45-60 mins starting at 2:45. After the walk, folks are welcome to stay for additional support discussions and Q&A until 4:30.

The sun can be strong, so please wear a hat and sunscreen. You may want to bring water and good walking shoes.

There is ample parking in front. We will meet in the meeting room at the back of the library past the restrooms. When you walk into the front door, walk to the back and make a right.
