Please join the Tampa Bay Dysphonia Support Group for a virtual meeting on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 10:00 AM ET.
Our guest speaker will be Candace Hrelec, MD, a laryngologist trained at Vanderbilt and worked at Cleveland Clinic before moving to Sarasota. Dr. Hrelec currently works for First Physicians Group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System.
About Candace Hrelec, MD | Dr. Hrelec is board-certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and fellowship trained in laryngology. Utilizing high-definition videostroboscopy, Dr. Hrelec is able to closely examine the structures of the throat, airway and vocal cords for a precise diagnosis. Microsurgery, laser procedures, or injection therapy, including Botox, may then be used as part of an individualized treatment plan.
Her specialties include:
· Voice disorders and laryngitis
· Early glottic cancer and precancer
· Vocal fold paralysis and spasmodic dysphonia
· Laryngeal cysts and polyps
· Swallowing disorders, dysphagia, aspiration and Zenkers
· Glottic, subglottic and tracheal stenosis

Daniel Lee Bray
ALIVE FOREVER MOREAugust 24, 1984 – December 20, 2020 (36 years old)
Daniel was a son, brother, animal lover, artist, animator, poet, rapper, musician and extraordinary soul who was filled with extraordinary faith while conquering enormous challenges after being diagnosed with Spasmodic Dysphonia at 19 years old. His story is a story of triumph, victory, courage and understanding. Daniel left many life lessons and through his experience on earth he will continue to touch lives inspiring us all to be more aware and to build more awareness of what brought him home. Daniel is a warrior and his inspiration that has been collected by his family will be used to bring hope and to change the world!
