Please join us for a virtual meeting on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM ET.
At our June meeting we will discuss resilience with moderator Bonnie Simpson, Upper NC Area Contact Leader. Also, enjoy the opening article for the Dysphonia International 2023-2024 Our Voice Newsletter titled Embracing Resilience on the Journey with Voice Disorders – read it here, pages 1-5.
The Ripple Effect of Resilience
Stories shared among support groups within the Dysphonia International community have encouraged, empowered, and inspired fellow members to disrupt the fear of moving forward with spasmodic dysphonia and related voice conditions.
Meeting the challenge of constantly sharing the journey, participating in clinical trials, surveys and fundraisers has been the reason for increased interest by voice professionals taking a deeper look into the dynamics of this life-altering condition.
Ongoing collaboration between voice professionals, members of the SD community and their support systems along with Dysphonia International leadership has attracted increased interest in our stories.

“We don’t yet see things clearly. We are squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing Him directly just as He knows us!”
