Please join the Greater New York Dysphonia Support Group for a virtual meeting on Tuesday, October 18 2022, from 6:45 PM to 8:00 PM EST.
We are excited to welcome Professor Dr. Vincent L. Gracco and Dr. Nabin Koirala from the Haskins Laboratories in New Haven, CT, at our next meeting. They will be discussing a new pilot study to investigate the effects of non-invasive brain stimulation on the vocal symptoms of spasmodic dysphonia using transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS). They are also looking for volunteers to participate in this research, so come and learn how you can be involved in helping to advance our understanding of this potential treatment. The NSDA/Dysphonia International funded this research study.
Prof. Gracco is the Senior Scientist and Vice President for Scientific Operations at Haskins Laboratories. He is a Professor at the School of Communication Sciences & Disorders at McGill University, Montreal, Canada. Dr. Koirala is an Associate Research Scientist at Haskins Laboratories.
All are welcome to join no matter your location!

“We don’t yet see things clearly. We are squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing Him directly just as He knows us!”
