Please join us for a virtual meeting on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 6:30 – 7:30 PM ET.
The meeting will be approximately one hour. After brief introductions, attendees are welcome to share personal experiences about their voice disorder or to ask questions about Spasmodic Dysphonia and related vocal conditions.
Discussion topics will include:
- Summary of the Dysphonia International Symposium that occurred on May 4th in Tampa, FL. Speakers at the event covered topics like Botox treatment, brain research, social-emotional issues, assistive technology, etc.
- Using the “BEN” communication technique to advocate for ourselves in social situations B=behavior, E=emotion, N=need. We’ll discuss how to ask others to help accommodate our voice-related needs.
We encourage anyone within the state of Georgia to attend. The meeting is also open to people in other locations.

Daniel Lee Bray
ALIVE FOREVER MOREAugust 24, 1984 – December 20, 2020 (36 years old)
Daniel was a son, brother, animal lover, artist, animator, poet, rapper, musician and extraordinary soul who was filled with extraordinary faith while conquering enormous challenges after being diagnosed with Spasmodic Dysphonia at 19 years old. His story is a story of triumph, victory, courage and understanding. Daniel left many life lessons and through his experience on earth he will continue to touch lives inspiring us all to be more aware and to build more awareness of what brought him home. Daniel is a warrior and his inspiration that has been collected by his family will be used to bring hope and to change the world!
