You are invited to a virtual meeting of the Circle City, Indiana Spasmodic Dysphonia Support Group for people with spasmodic dysphonia and related voice conditions.
Our guest speaker, Stacey Halum, MD, FACS, is a laryngologist at the IU Health Voice Center in Carmel, IN. She specializes in laryngeal voice, swallowing, and airway disorders. Dr. Halum received her doctorate degree from Medical College of Wisconsin and completed otolaryngology residency at Medical College of Wisconsin in 2004. After residency, she completed a fellowship in laryngology at Wake Forest University.
Dr. Halum was the first fellowship-trained laryngologist to practice clinically in the state of Indiana. An expert in clinically translatable research, Dr. Halum authored over sixty journal articles and six book chapters. She is currently investigating the use of stem cell therapies for the treatment of laryngologic disorders. Her research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for more than a decade. Dr. Halum has received numerous clinical national honors such as being recognized in the Guide to America’s Top Physicians, Indianapolis Magazine Top Doctors, and the Patients’ Choice Award.
During this virtual connection Stacy will be giving a brief intro into SD and will be available for questions. Afterwards, Beverly Matthews, the Circle City Spasmodic Dysphonia Support Group Leader, will lead the discussion.

Daniel Lee Bray
ALIVE FOREVER MOREAugust 24, 1984 – December 20, 2020 (36 years old)
Daniel was a son, brother, animal lover, artist, animator, poet, rapper, musician and extraordinary soul who was filled with extraordinary faith while conquering enormous challenges after being diagnosed with Spasmodic Dysphonia at 19 years old. His story is a story of triumph, victory, courage and understanding. Daniel left many life lessons and through his experience on earth he will continue to touch lives inspiring us all to be more aware and to build more awareness of what brought him home. Daniel is a warrior and his inspiration that has been collected by his family will be used to bring hope and to change the world!
