The Greater Detroit Dysphonia Support Group will host a hybrid meeting on Saturday, September 9, from 10:00 AM ET to 12:00 PM ET. You have the option to participate in person or virtually.
Dorothy Tannahill-Moran, Dysphonia International Board member and Chairperson for the Education and Awareness Committee will virtually join our support group in her capacity as a Certified Sound Therapist to educate on Sound Therapy.
Her program will include the following information:
· What Sound Therapy is
· What the health benefits and science is behind it
· How this might help people in our community
· Guidance on meditation
· Conduct a short Sound Bath & Meditation for everyone to enjoy/participate in
We also will preview our planned Walk for Talk at the Stage Nature Center in Troy, Mich. This event last year had 43 attendees!
We also will have a go-around to hear about your life with SD or other vocal disorders.

ALIVE FOREVER MOREAugust 24, 1984 – December 20, 2020 (36 years old)
Daniel was a son, brother, animal lover, artist, animator, poet, rapper, musician and extraordinary soul who was filled with extraordinary faith while conquering enormous challenges after being diagnosed with Spasmodic Dysphonia at 19 years old. His story is a story of triumph, victory, courage and understanding. Daniel left many life lessons and through his experience on earth he will continue to touch lives inspiring us all to be more aware and to build more awareness of what brought him home. Daniel is a warrior and his inspiration that has been collected by his family will be used to bring hope and to change the world!
