Today's Wall Street Journal has an interesting article about a new drug, safinamide, developed by an Italian company, Newron Parmaceuticals SpA. According to the Journal, the company reports that the drug helped to reduce by 30% the tremors, uncontrolled movements and other disabilities that are the hallmark of Parkinson's. The drug may even have the ability to slow the progression of Parkinson's.Let's hope that this drug pans out for those afflicted with Parkinson's. And perhaps it--or some variation of it--may even one day be of help in controlling SD. Larry ADSD |
