Wendy, it is my understanding that doctors will not administer botox while you are pregnant. I know it makes for a long nine months but better safe than sorry! Good Luck! Cheryl AD/SD Woodstock, Ga. |

Wendy, When I was pregnant, and for 3 months leading up to getting pregnant (whilst trying in other words) , I was not given botox. I was also not allowed to have it if I chose to breast feed...I chose to talk - being home with a baby and ADSD would have been just a little too isolating for me, but everyone's different. I really wanted to "talk" to Sophie too, and was literally gasping for a botox by the time I gave birth! The docs prefer to err on the side of caution, although I have read studies where women have had actual botulism poisoning during all 3 trimesters and it has not harmed the child in any way (thats a lot more poison in their systems than we get!). I know of one woman who had botox during her preganancy with no side effects, but that was a long time ago and can't remember her name, sorry. Narelle

thanks for your responses. I'm not pregnant yet but will be trying soon. that is going to be hard to get through 9 months without a shot since I get them every 3 months. |
