Anyone have a good solution for excessive phlegm on vocal cords? I've always had probs w/this.....and have had to clear my throat constantly. Someone said that Singers Saving Grace is good, but I've been unable to find any at several stores and online. I've noticed after my botox shot, it accumulates on my vocal cords, especially overnight, and makes it even more difficult to speak. It seems to clear. Thanks! |

Richard---I got the information from "FancyNancy" on this BB and it does help! It is NOT a cure but has helped me. The company is Herbs,Etc. Their phone # is (888)694-3727. They will be able to tell you where the closest store is to you. PS There are two "flavors": mint and original. I got the original and as "FancyNancy" said, it does taste awful! But it is worth it..... Susan S. AD/SD |

Thanks Susan, for the information. I called the number you gave and they referred me to a health food store in my area. They had it and I picked it up yesterday afternoon. It comes in a little spray container like Banaca breathe spray. It was only 3.29. It does seem to help. I got the mint tasting one, so the taste was probably not as bad as the regular. I have alot of phlegm, so anything would help. Thanks again,

Richard, To confirm what Susan says, I bought a large-size "Singers Saving Grace" several months ago at a health food store in Central California, driving back from the Arizona SD Symposium. Had lunch with "fancynancy" that day and she told me it was very helpful for phlegm and I respect her opinion, as a singer/musician. Susan is right...VERY nasty tasting but it helps in addressing heavy phlegm, which I have a TON of, especially in the morning. You spray it into your mouth. Maybe it's the gag reaction that gets rid of it. LOL. Whatever works, in my opinion. It's a product that is used before recording sessions in order to fully clear vocal passages to make singing voices more crisp and pure. Doesn't cure SD or anything but addresses the phlegm temporarily. Also, doesn't cost much so it's worth a try. Have you checked your local health food store? Most should carry it. It's not an MLM product. It's just something that helps with the phlegm. --Lynne |

I take allergy pills to help with phlegm/mucus after botox. I use Allegra, take off and on and it helps dry up mucus. My botox doctors says sweets cause more salvia so that can be a factor too after botox, boooooo! Dot,AD with voice tremor in NC |
