Re: Dr.Andrew Blitzer in N.Y.C.
Hi Raymond,Dr. Blitzer is very experienced in SD treatment. He and Dr. Brin were early pioneers of Botox treatments in the mid 80's and has many years of experience under his belt. I flew from Vancouver, BC to New York to see him in 1989 for my very first botox shot, as it was not available in Canada at that time. Lloyd Pearson (AD/SD BC - Canada)
Re: Dr.Andrew Blitzer in N.Y.C.
Hi, Raymond.I, too, agree with Lloyd's reply. Dr. Blitzer has been injecting for between 10 to 15 years, I believe. He and Dr. Brin are considered the forefathers of SD Botox treatments, in my book. I had received injections from Dr. Blitzer until he moved to CA last year. Now I go to Dr. Brin in NYC. Jill
Re: Dr.Andrew Blitzer in N.Y.C.
The initial Beta-studies and SD-patient work on Botox (I believe) began in 1989. That's what all the information distributed at the various symposiums have stated.Dr. Mitchell Brin moved to Irvine, California last year to become a VP at Allergan, the Botox manufacturer. To my knowledge, Dr. Andrew Blitzer is still in New York. It can be confusing as many of the SD pioneers and SD-Botox doctor names begin with *B.* (ie: Brin, Bastian, Blitzer, Berke, Blumin, etc.). --Lynne (AD-SD; NSDA Regional Contact; Northern California)
Re: Dr.Andrew Blitzer in N.Y.C.
In 1995 I had several injections of Botox by my Toronto ENT and when none of them worked he began to question his technique. He decided to send me to see Dr. Blitzer and for about 9 months I flew down every 4 weeks for Botox. He experimented with different quantities as well as unilateral
and bilateral injections, but I did not experience any improvement. I think it was because I have AB -not because of his technique as he is one of the best in the field. If you have AD he would definitely be worth the visit.

Re: Dr.Andrew Blitzer in N.Y.C.
Just wanted to add my two cents. I was fortunate enough to be diagnosed by Dr. Brin and received my first injection from Dr. Blitzer. Dr. Blizter has never missed his mark and once he figured out the proper amount for me I have had wonderful results. I usually get between 3 and 4 months of great voice.
