I have had ABD SD for many years, never received any treatment.
Another issue that I have is chronic insominia. On a recent visit to my primary care doctor, I asked if there was anything I could take for the insominia, as previous medications were of little value. He prescribed a drug called TRAZODONE 50 mg, After taking TRAZODONE for 3 weeks, it did nothing for my insominia, however there has been a vast improvement in my ABD SD.

My voice no longer has the breaks and tremors, and the volume is stronger for me so far this is a miracle. Trazodone 50 mg is a "Serotonin receptor antagonist" and is used to treat depression, insominia, as well as other medical conditions.
It has a number of side effects, and should only be used when prescribed by your physician.

Wow, I have this for sleep. I'll try it.

My psychiatrist tried me on Trazadone and I felt terrible on it and it really didn't help my insomnia or voice. What did help me with both was clonazepam, taken only at bedtime.
