I live in Rhode Island but was getting Botox in Boston. I started getting treatments 5 years ago.
I started a new job and as a result had to switch to a new insurance, Blue Cross of RI. I am in desperate need of botox since I am a software trainer and need my voice. I found out today that Blue Cross of RI doesn't cover Botox injections for Spasmodic Dysphonia. They only cover Botox for hyperhidrosis and for migraines.......This is so unbelievable...I am so beside myself. Please....does anyone have any suggestions!! |

My insurance tried to do that to. My doctor wrote them a letter
stating it was medical necessity. Once they did that the insurance paid for my treatments. |

Thank you very much for your reply!! I just emailed my doctor and I am hoping he can do the same so that Blue Cross will approve it.....trying to stay hopeful!! |
