Is there anyone out there who is in the military and has SD? How does it affect your career? Do you have any help through the military?

I am a military spouse just recently diagnosed with SD and also have a tremor of the head. My primary care provider referred me for multiple off post appointments as well as ordered an MRI which I had done late last year which came back normal.

I currently am attending speech therapy off post provided by tricare. I was referred to a neorologist off post (only patients seen on post at this time are active duty) and the neorologist I saw just this week has referred me to a muscular/skeletal neorologist which I am working on getting that referral set up now. He also referred me for an MRI with and without contrast.

I also was referred by the ENT on post to a laryngologist off post who apparently specializes in SD and have that appointment next month.

So, it is a lot of leg work with no definitive results yet but I am interested to see what I find out next month with the laryngologist.
