Hi Paula. First I'd like to say how nice of Dr. Richardson to tell you that! I've never been told that in all the years I've been getting botox and I know many others have problems getting in earlier than when the doctor schedules his appointments. Seems like Dr. Richardson is a very compassionate doctor. I'm just wondering how he offers this since once a vial of botox is opened, it only last about 4 hours (I think that's correct), which would mean the remaining botox would either have to be used or thrown out.Since everyone is different, and their reactions to botox is different, it all depends on when the special occasion is and how you respond to botox. When I've decided on getting botox for a special occasion, I'd try to get it about a month prior to the occasion. By then, usually the breathiness that I have after botox, is a lot better, though sometimes it's still hard to talk over loud noises.
In my opinion, you have to see how you react to botox first, how long it lasts and how breathy you get, and then you'll probably be the best judge of when it would be best.
Any other opinions, SD'ers?
Best of luck!!!
