Botox & garlic

I just watched a piece on TV about garlic. They said some like ketchup or mustard on their burgers while some load them with garlic. They continued to say garlic has power to fight & kill botulism. So if a person eats garlic, do you out there think this has power to kill or reduce the effects of botox that we are getting. Would like to know everyone's opinion on this. I do put garlic in everything I cook and botox seems to not be working as well. If it kills live botox, wondering about injections??? So much for the good qualities of garlic for those of us getting botox for medical purposes.

My understanding of botox treatment for SD is that it is injected directly into the affected muscles. It must stay in the musle otherwise some of us would not be alive at the moment. If garlic really does reduce its effects, then I would think that the garlic would have to be injected into the muscles as well. So if anyone were to approach me with a hyperdermic full of garlic, I would not let them near my neck!!

Just my two-cents worth. (I have translated this expression into dollars so that you all understand it!)

Judy

Linda, I just discovered the bb, so that's why I'm just now
responding. If garlic killed the botox, mine would've never stood a
chance. I've always used alot of garlic powder in most everything I
cook, but over the last 2 months, I've been eating a clove of fresh
garlic almost every day to try and reduce my cholesterol. I had a
botox injection 4 weeks ago and it was quite effective. My voice
isn't what I had hoped for, but I can carry on a conversation on the
phone and in quiet places. I'm not able to project or get any volume,
but I don't think that's on account of the garlic.
