It’s been quite a while since our last support group meeting in August 2024—I hope this message finds you all doing well and staying healthy! I’m excited to share that our next meeting is scheduled for Friday, June 21, from 12:00–1:30 PM at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital in Private Dining Room 1. Enter through the main entrance of the hospital and visit the information desk for directions to Private Dining Room 1. Parking is free.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Glendon Gardner, senior staff otolaryngologist at Henry Ford Health, will be our guest speaker. This will be an informal presentation that will encourage group questions of any type regarding dysphonia. Dr. Gardner specializes in treating voice disorders that include botulinum toxin for spasmodic dysphonia. He is also a key figure in providing specialized care for singers, including those with the Michigan Opera Theater. There will also be time for open conversation and sharing, allowing you to share your story and connect with others who truly understand. Additionally, we will discuss Walk for Talk, scheduled for October 18, 2025, at the Stage Nature Center.

Hope to see you there! And remember, family and friends are welcome to attend too! Dennis Kaszeta Greater Detroit Area Dysphonia Support Group Leader denniskaszeta@yahoo.com
